| okay I have had numeros people tell me when a horse is 5 they will test you a whoe lot! T-Bone seems to as he is currently 5 but I was wondering will he grow out of this when he gets older? Is it really true a horse gets better when it gets older? |

I have certainly known of many horses who matured emotionally as they got older.
Not all resistences are a result of immaturity, though. Do you have a competent trainer working with the two of you? Having a coach on the ground is always useful when you're working through some issues with your horse; a lot of times they can see things that you can't.
Also, it can help just to make sure that nothing about riding is physically uncomfortable for him. For example, it's important that his tack fits, his bit is in good shape and he likes it, and he's not sore anywhere. |

thanks Galadriel! I think he problay will mature when he gets older! One of my close adult friends said that horses do this around the age of 5 because its like a young child when they learn they can say no and stuff.
His tack fits him fine I cheeked with some people to make sure and he isn't sore either! Yeah I do have a trainer and it is helpful!
Thanks for your advice Galadriel! |
